This performance was a releasing ritual for both a virtual and in-person audience. Anonymous people answered the question “How Are you doing” on a Google Survey, which also included a grounding ritual before and after they wrote their answer. These answers were then compiled into a 30 minute long audio that was played during the performance. The audio was created with the intention of slowly ramping up the intensity and repetition of the spoken answers to the question. While the audio played the artist broke apart the sculpture Keep It Light, and slowly moved them into place in front of multicolored pulsing lights - creating moving mirrored paintings on the wall. The artist then performed bodily movements that reflected the intensity of the audio answers. Once the audio began gently bringing the energy back down to an atmospheric lo-fi sound, the artist performed releasing rituals with the audience - pulling their negative energy off of them and feeding it to the sculpture. Participating audience members received flowers that grew in the same garden as the flowers decorating the sculpture. The artist then ended with a high energy dance to release the building energy from the audio to finish the performance.
